Recognition

In recognition of CVAP's continued support of community activities and participation in other nonprofit organizations - as members, officers and board members - Coachella Valley Alumnae Panhellenic again won the Community Service/Philanthropy award in 2025-2026.
  • Additionally, CVAP was again recognized for its Enhancement of the Alumnae Experience, its College Panhellenic Connections, and Promotion of the Sorority Experience with additional awards from the National Panhellenic Conference ("NPC") in 2025-2026.​

  • In our 2022 - 2023 year and again in 2024-25, CVAP received the Alumnae Panhellenic (APH) Citation of Merit and Programming Excellence Award. These were awarded for timely and thorough reporting to NPC, successfully publicizing all CVAP's activities and philanthropic involvement, as well as our scholarship promotion, including money raised from CVAP's Annual Benefit.

  • The 2021 - 2022 Programming Excellence Award was given to CVAP in recognition of its above and beyond work to enhance the Panhellenic spirit. This was accomplished by hosting events in addition to regular member meetings and by developing members through speakers, activities, and philanthropies. CVAP also received the 2021 - 2022 Citation of Merit Award for supporting College Panhellenics with both scholarships and with CVAP's recruitment efforts.​

  • In August 2016, CVAP received the APH Programming Excellence Award based on the various groups that CVAP supported: Books for Children, Toys for Children, the Toys for Tots program supporting Marine families at the 29 Palms base, CVAP's award of 20 Scholarships to young women attending each of the 10 Coachella Valley high schools, and CVAP's monthly educational programs.

  • Palm Springs Life magazine recognized CVAP as one of the top charitable organizations in the desert, and CVAP's “Diamonds are Forever” Benefit and Diamond Award ceremony were featured on Palm Spring KPSP TV, “Eye on the Desert”, Nightly News broadcasts, and the Desert Sun newspaper.

 

  • NPC recognized CVAP with a Programming Excellence Award for 2015-2016 and 2016-2017.

 

  • Each year, as CVAP promotes its fundraising events, it is featured on Eye on the Desert with Patrick Evans and shares its scholarship success stories in the Desert Sun's Desert Scene.
